2.3.7 AC/DC Converter<br />

Supply<strong>in</strong>g stable voltage and current to charge the batteries <strong>in</strong> the <strong>plug</strong>-<strong>in</strong> <strong>hybrid</strong><br />

kit is essential. Therefore, we must use an optimal AC/DC converter for the <strong>plug</strong>-<strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>hybrid</strong> kit. The cost of the AD/DC converter is $500. The specification of AC/DC<br />

converter is shown <strong>in</strong> Table 8.<br />

can boost up m<strong>in</strong>imum voltage of batteries <strong>in</strong> the <strong>plug</strong>-<strong>in</strong> <strong>hybrid</strong> kit to the maximum<br />

voltage of batteries <strong>in</strong> a HEV is approximately $300.<br />
