Isopomoto IIT EnPRO-<strong>356</strong>, Fall 2006<br />
Y<strong>in</strong> Zhao — Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Team is a junior year undergraduate student <strong>in</strong> chemical<br />
eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g and chemistry at Ill<strong>in</strong>ois Institute of Technology. He grew up <strong>in</strong> Ch<strong>in</strong>a, and<br />
attended the prestigious Elementary and Middle schools attached to Ts<strong>in</strong>ghua University.<br />
Immigrated to the United States at the age of fourteen, Y<strong>in</strong> Zhao enrolled <strong>in</strong> five different<br />
high schools and obta<strong>in</strong>ed his high school diploma at D.W. Daniel High School <strong>in</strong><br />
Central, South Carol<strong>in</strong>a.<br />
Be<strong>in</strong>g environmentally conscious and technology driven, Mr. Zhao has always<br />
been <strong>in</strong>terested <strong>in</strong> an alternative solution to the current energy supply of fossil fuels. He<br />
currently pursues a m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> energy, environment, and economics (E3). Y<strong>in</strong> Zhao also<br />
enjoys analytical th<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g and computation. He has engaged <strong>in</strong> several research efforts <strong>in</strong><br />
theoretical model<strong>in</strong>g and won several awards, both locally and nationally, for his<br />
performance <strong>in</strong> mathematics and chemistry Olympiad competitions.<br />
For the current project, Mr. Zhao have been <strong>in</strong> the support<strong>in</strong>g role of collect<strong>in</strong>g<br />
pert<strong>in</strong>ent <strong>in</strong>formation, conduct<strong>in</strong>g survey, and coord<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g communication among the<br />
bus<strong>in</strong>ess team members. Y<strong>in</strong> Zhao is <strong>in</strong> charge of the analysis and report on barrier to<br />
entry, risk and management, and partnership and alliances sections of the bus<strong>in</strong>ess plan.<br />
Seung-Hun Baek — Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Team is a senior student major<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>electric</strong>al<br />
eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g at Ill<strong>in</strong>ois Institute of Technology. As a member of Isopomoto, he created<br />
the <strong>in</strong>dustry review, competitor analysis, and physical model<strong>in</strong>g. He was born <strong>in</strong> South<br />
Korea and attended Ajou University until spr<strong>in</strong>g of 2005. He f<strong>in</strong>anced this by teach<strong>in</strong>g<br />
mathematics for high school students as a personal tutor. In the middle of his college<br />
career he served <strong>in</strong> the Korean Army for 2 years. He worked for the office of public<br />
<strong>in</strong>formation and was <strong>in</strong> charge of monitor<strong>in</strong>g and report<strong>in</strong>g to the press. After retir<strong>in</strong>g as<br />
a sergeant <strong>in</strong> 2004 he performed a design project, which was build<strong>in</strong>g a ‗l<strong>in</strong>e tracer‘ with<br />
a microprocessor called AVR and did a presentation <strong>in</strong> his last semester <strong>in</strong> Korea.<br />
He realized the need to study abroad and transferred to Ill<strong>in</strong>ois Institute of<br />
Technology <strong>in</strong> the fall of 2005. He is tak<strong>in</strong>g more advanced courses for graduate students<br />
<strong>in</strong> power and control and plans to work on build<strong>in</strong>g testers for <strong>hybrid</strong> cars with research<br />
assistants <strong>in</strong> the laboratory. He is currently work<strong>in</strong>g on the design of power supplies with<br />
Pspice <strong>in</strong> the class, ECE411.<br />
