*All SpR activities take place at St Peter’s hospital except an alternate week endocrine
clinic. There is a shuttle bus that runs between the 2 sites on a frequent basis. A 15
minute drive separates the two sites.
**Over the next year the department is looking to alter the thyroid clinic organisation and
aim to change the SpR timetable to have an alternate week thyroid clinic and a weekly
endocrine clinic.
The general medical teams are “ward-based” and on average have 15-20 in patients. Dr
Ward and Dr Naqvi alternate the ward cover on a four monthly basis but this does not alter
the registrar timetable. The on call rota is currently 1 in 10 with the nights in blocks of 3
and 4.
