Appointed 2005<br />
Holds an MBA (Finance) <strong>and</strong> fi rst class BSc (Civil Engineering) degrees from the University of Lagos.<br />
Alumnus of the Harvard Business School‘s Advanced Management Programme.<br />
Working career spans over two decades with experience in several areas of banking, including Credit<br />
<strong>and</strong> Marketing, Treasury Relationship Management, IT, Business Development, Internal Control <strong>and</strong><br />
International Operations with C-suite appointments before joining <strong>UBA</strong> in 2004.<br />
Appointed as GMD/CEO designate of <strong>UBA</strong> Group to take over from Tony Elumelu eff ective 1 August 2010.<br />
FAITH TUEDOR-MATTHEWS<br />
Executive Director (Deputy Managing Director, Nigeria-North)<br />
Appointed 2005<br />
Holds an MBA from University of Aston, Birmingham, fi rst degree from the Southampton Institute<br />
<strong>and</strong> a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing from North Staff ordshire University, all in Engl<strong>and</strong>.<br />
Alumnus of the Harvard Business School Senior Executive Programme. Graduate member of the<br />
Chartered Institute of Marketing, London <strong>and</strong> a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.<br />
Banking career spans over 20 years with cognate experience in various areas of banking, including<br />
Corporate Banking, International <strong>and</strong> Domestic Operations, Branch Management <strong>and</strong> Risk Asset<br />
Management. Joined St<strong>and</strong>ard Trust Bank as an Executive Director <strong>and</strong> was appointed Deputy<br />
Managing Director, <strong>UBA</strong> Nigeria (North) in 2008.<br />
VICTOR OSADOLOR<br />
Executive Director (Group Chief Finance Offi cer <strong>and</strong> DMD designate)<br />
Appointed 2005<br />
Holds a BSc degree in Accounting from the University of Benin <strong>and</strong> fellowship of the Institute<br />
of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. An alumnus of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced<br />
Management Programme <strong>and</strong> honorary life membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of<br />
Nigeria (CIBN).<br />
Began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers <strong>and</strong> has over 20 years’ experience in the fi nancial<br />
services industry. At the executive level, he has played several key roles, including serving as the<br />
Chairman of St<strong>and</strong>ard Trust Bank <strong>Plc</strong>/<strong>UBA</strong> <strong>Plc</strong>‘s Integration Committee. He was one of the principal<br />
executive offi cers responsible for the successful delivery of all <strong>UBA</strong>‘s merger <strong>and</strong> acquisition<br />
transactions to date.<br />
He chairs both the Group Risk Management Committee of the Bank <strong>and</strong> the CIBN Bookshop<br />
Management Committee.<br />
Appointed as Deputy Managing Director designate of <strong>UBA</strong> Group eff ective from 1 August 2010.<br />
GODWIN IZE-IYAMU<br />
Executive Director (Subsidiaries <strong>and</strong> Specialized Products)<br />
Appointed 2004 Retired 2010<br />
Holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (magna cum laude) from the University of Central<br />
Florida <strong>and</strong> an MSc (Accounting) degree from University of Houston, both in USA. A Certifi ed Public<br />
Accountant (CPA), after training in the United States as a professional accountant, sat for <strong>and</strong> passed<br />
the CPA examinations in the State of Texas, <strong>and</strong> was honoured with a ‘Top Ten Award’ in the fi nal CPA<br />
examinations in that state. Alumnus of Insead (France) Advanced Management Programme.<br />
Professional accounting career has seen him work with some renowned accounting fi rms, both in<br />
Nigeria <strong>and</strong> the USA as well as Mobil, prior to joining the banking industry.<br />
Banking career spans over 25 years <strong>and</strong> within the fi nancial services industry, is an acknowledged<br />
authority in corporate banking <strong>and</strong> energy fi nance He was a co-chairman of the steering committee<br />
that mid-wifed the merger/integration of <strong>UBA</strong> <strong>and</strong> STB merger.<br />
Retired from the Board of <strong>UBA</strong> in March 2010 after a meritorious service.<br />
