Improving customer
comfort and increasing traffic
system
Modernised toll plazas
Use of electronic toll systems, which represented
nearly 43% of transactions in 2009 as opposed to
40% in 2008, continues to grow rapidly.
Sales of Liber-t badges increased by 21.5% in
2009, and reached a total of 737,000 active badges
by the end of the year.
Used experimentally on three of the network’s toll
plazas, drive-through electronic toll systems have
been shown to improve customer comfort and
traffic flows by allowing vehicles to drive through
the toll plaza at 30 km/h along certain lanes.
In parallel, 117 plazas out of the 145 operated
by the Group are now remotely operated, either
completely or partially.
