INVESTING
FOR THE FUTURE
Whether to build new
sections, interchanges and
bypasses or improve existing
networks, the APRR group
continues to invest in and
modernise its infrastructure.
These investments aim to
improve the satisfaction
and safety of its customers.
New
constructions
The new construction works carried out
in 2009 concerned:
n the A406 motorway and the south
bypass around Mâcon, with the
beginning of the main construction
works and of the viaduct over the River
Saône,
n the Les Echets – La Boisse A432
motorway where construction works
on the La Côtière viaduct continue
and where the earthworks have begun
on the sections and on the motorway
interchanges for the A42 and A46 Nord
motorways,
n the A714 motorway and the
Montluçon motorway slip road, with
the end of preparatory works and
the beginning of widening works.
These three new links, representing a
total distance of 30 kilometres, will be
opened to traffic between end-2010
and mid-2011.

The Group maintains and improves
the network by making regular
complementary investments
concerning:
n widening to three lanes,
n new interchanges,
n enlargement and renovation of a large
number of service and rest areas,
n the creation of new interchanges and
branches,
n increased toll plaza capacities,
n parking areas and buildings,
n protection of the environment.
n 1159 million for new constructions,
n 1171 million for network improvements,
n 184 million for operating assets (of which €29 million
of road resurfacing material)
n 118 million for associated costs, i.e. immobilised
production plus interest during construction
