A developing
network
2009, the first year that AREA has
managed the Annecy-Geneva section
of the A41 conceded to ADELAC,
saw three large scale works projects:
n the south Mâcon bypass (A406),
n the access to Montluçon from
the A71 (A714),
n the Les Echets / La Boise section
of the A432 to reduce traffic congestion
to the north-east of Lyon.
These three operations incorporated a
far-reaching procedure aimed at
protecting the fauna and flora.
On the A406, particular attention was
paid to a protected species, the corn
crake.
The Group has undertaken to complete
these three new links, representing

a linear distance of 30 kilometres,
between end-2010 and mid-2011.

Thanks to the efforts made to increase
its productivity gains, especially through
the modernisation of toll plazas, and
adapt its teams to new organisational
methods, the Group further improved its
economic performance. EBITDA and
the EBITDA margin continued to
progress, with the latter reaching
68.0%, as against 67.8% in 2008.
