Si no soy no huelo,
no sé si seré .
Mi química salepor los poros y extiende esamezcolanza
If I amnot, I do not smell,
If I amtoo much, I decant,
If I stop being, they will remember me for whatI was,
I amnot sure if I will be.
My chemistry pours out and extends that mishmash
of experienced laboratoryof chemically complex lives.
NowI exist in this frozen photographto becomememory.
indisolublemente unidos. Mientras exponíael negativopodíaoler lafragancia
que no tuve compañía para cenar esanoche.
There is asilent facewith some movement -eyes are closed- breathing in and
out. Smells becomestrongtoo, andyes- theydo distract mefrom the practice.
There is a scent of sandalwoodincense and a small sign of a tension in my
armpit. A peacefulmoment, no sound in the meditation room, chaosoutside
the frames. Like a city is restless -or a mind too asit is a biggerconstruction
than anycity ever wasor will be. I witnessit all and let them gotoo. I amhere.
I ampeaceful.
Mind might be steadyor might not be -you cannot see. Neither can you
see the city, but you can seeall the lights captured. Exposure time waslong so
I could record my breathing on the film. It waslike aperformance madewith
the smallest but most essentialtool in the world, breath -and smelling while
breathing becauseyou cannot even avoid that. I could smell rosemary under
my nose and neighbors cooking some dinner while exposing the negative. I
felt myself lonely becauseI hadno companyfor the dinner atthatnight.
Tampocopuedesver
