Switching ON
1. Place the device where GPS antenna 1.4 has unobstructed access/view to the
sky.
2. Switch power ON.
The green light 1.2 will turn on for a few seconds.
When the green and red lights flash at three-second intervals, the device is
searching for GPS satellites.
The device is operational when the green light alone is blinking.
3. Please verify the device functionality with a test call and test location. For this you
will have to start using Tracker Hunter software in your mobile phone.
TIPS:
Satellite connection is best achieved in the open air.
To see the amount of satellites available, go to Tracker Hunter > Main menu >
Messages (open the positioning message)
The GPS power of the device should be set to Full power in the beginning and can be
set to economy or off when the target moves slowly or not at all. (Power adjustment is
made from the Hunter software.) If you are using A-GPS, power saving mode is
adequate. (see GPS power modes)
The device will not necessarily function properly if GPS position is not gotten before the
device is put on a dog. In case the device loses GPS satellites for 30 minutes, e.g. GPS
antenna is facing down or the dog is indoors, the position must be searched again, as
you did in startup phase.
The device sends fresh GPS position to the hunter‟s device when the hunter acquires it.
In case the device is not able to get GPS position it will send last known location from
the memory after 5 minutes.
