5. The application informs you when registration is completed. The Tracker Live icon
next to the target turns green.
GPRS tracking
In GPRS tracking the tracking data is sent through GPRS network via Tracker Live
service instead of an SMS. This provides more frequent tracking with possibly much less
cost comparing to SMS (NOTE! cost saving depends on the amount of tracking you do
and the rate plan you have on the SIM card in the device.).
There are 3 types of GPRS positioning: Background Tracking, Real Time Tracking and
single position request over GPRS.
In order to have Live trackings available, you must register the device to Tracker Live
service and then connect to the service.
1. To start Background Tracking, go to Main Menu > Targets > Dogs > Tracker Live > Background Tracking > Set the interval of tracking
> Start
2. To initiate Real Time Tracking, go to Map > Show > List all > Dogs > > Menu > Start Real Time Tracking. Wait a moment, and the dog
starts “running” on your screen. To start Real Time Tracking with other than default
duration and interval, go to Main Menu > Targets > Dogs >
Tracker Live > Real Time Tracking > (Set the duration and interval of
tracking) > Start (Note: these now become default RTT settings)
3. To acquire single location through GPRS network, go to Map > Show > > Menu > Locate.
NOTE!
When you want to do real-time tracking with less than 30 second interval, your collar
should be on Full Power mode.
