A-GPS
NOTE: In order to get A-GPS working, you need to register your collar to Tracker Live.
A-GPS is supported only with Tracker TTA-310ia and Tracker G400 collars.
A-GPS is system where the collar uploads orbital data information from satellites through
GPRS network. This makes positioning of the device faster and more stabile.
A-GPS modes are adjusted from Configuration commands menu which can be found in
many ways, e.g. Main Menu > Targets > Dogs > < name of the target> Configuration
commands
There are several A-GPS modes available in G400 that you can choose from.
A-GPS Off (default): A-GPS is not available. In order to have A-GPS availability, you
must register your device to Tracker Live service and then change A-GPS mode using
Tracker Hunter.
A-GPS Update once: A-GPS data is downloaded just once (After download, information
is valid for approx. four days).
A-GPS Update when switching On: A-GPS data is downloaded automatically when the
device is switched on.
A-GPS Update if expiring: Recommended mode. A-GPS data is downloaded a day
before the previous information is expiring, so you will always have relevant A-GPS data
available.
A-GPS Update when needed: Recommended mode. A-GPS data is downloaded only
when needed (A-GPS data has expired and the amount of satellites available decreases
to less than 4). This is the most cost-effective mode.
TIPS!
A-GPS data is transferred through GPRS network. The size of the data packet is approx.
0,01 MB per day.
You will receive SMS messages of all A-GPS activities. The message contains
information about the status of download, success rate and the expiration time of the
data.
