Deux projets emblématiques<br />
L’Atomium de Bruxelles<br />
Projet singulier par sa forme et sa destination,<br />
clou de l’Exposition Universelle de Bruxelles<br />
en 1958, l’Atomium a subi une réhabilitation<br />
complète de l’enveloppe des sphères qui le<br />
composent. Elles ont été entièrement refaites<br />
en inox poli de nuance 1.4404 (316L).<br />
Le palais de Justice d’Anvers<br />
Les toitures-voile sont le point de mire<br />
architectural du projet. Chacun des<br />
32 modules est formé de quatre parties<br />
préfabriquées, assemblées par boulonnage<br />
sur site. Le recouvrement final de la coque<br />
en bois est réalisé par des bandes en inox<br />
de nuance 1.4404 (316L), soudées les<br />
unes aux autres. ◗<br />

Two iconic projects<br />
The Atomium in Brussels<br />
A unique project in terms of its shape and<br />
use, the cornerstone of the 1958 World<br />
Fair in Brussels, the component spheres<br />
of the Atomium underwent complete<br />
refurbishment. They were completely<br />
covered in polished stainless steel grade<br />
1.4404 (316L).<br />
Court House in Antwerp<br />
The sail-shaped roof is the outstanding<br />
architectural feature of this project.<br />
Each of the 32 modules is formed from four<br />
prefabricated sections bolted together on<br />
site. The final covering of the timber shell is<br />
made using strips of stainless steel grade<br />
1.4404 (316L), welded to each other. ◗<br />
