Mill treatments
◗ Il existe différentes familles de
traitement de surface applicable à l’inox
en-dehors des colorations.
Sur les tôles, ils se font soit après
laminage à chaud, soit après laminage à
froid. Ils sont normalisés :
1 D : tôles laminées à chaud décapées.
Aspect mat ;
2 D : tôles laminées à froid, recuites et
décapées. Aspect doux et mat ;
2 B : tôles laminées à froid, décapées et
relaminées au skin pass. Aspect plus lisse
que 2 D ;
2 R : recuit brillant. Plus lisse que 2 B. ◗

◗ There are different families of surface
treatment applicable to stainless steel in
addition to colouring.
On the sheets, they are done either after
hot rolling, or after cold rolling. They are
standardised:
1D : hot rolled, heat treated, pickled
sheet. Matt finish;
2D : cold rolled, heat treated, pickled
sheet. Soft matt finish;
2B : cold rolled, heat treated, pickled
sheet, skinpassed. Smoother finish
than 2 D;
2R : cold rolled bright annealed, may be
skinpassed. Smoother than 2 B. ◗
