II.3.2. Mécanisme de réaction des acétals en milieu acide<br />
Le mécanisme de substitution nucléophile sur un acétal en milieu acide a fait l’objet d’études<br />
approfondies. 70,71,72 En milieu acide, l’acétal forme un complexe qui peut se dissocier pour générer un<br />
ion oxocarbenium (Schéma 32). En fonction des vitesses relatives de dissociation de la paire d’ion et<br />
d’addition du nucléophile, la réaction peut suivre un mécanisme de type S N 1 ou S N 2 pour lesquels les<br />
espèces réactives sont respectivement l’ion oxocarbenium ou le complexe acide-acétal.<br />
