The signing took place in May 2014 at the last EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention
and Exhibition) in Geneva. With this MoU connecting Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur (ACA) and
Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU), the two entities join their considerable forces to promote
business aviation. Michel Tohane, Director of the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur General Aviation
Business Unit, and William G. Barkhauer, A.A.E. and Executive Director of Morristown
Municipal Airport, look back on this event and all that it implies.
La signature a eu lieu en mai 2014, lors du dernier EBACE (European Business Aviation
Convention and Exhibition) de Genève. Avec ce protocole d’accord liant les Aéroports de la Côte
d’Azur (ACA) et New York - Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU), les deux entités s’attachent

What are the strengths of the Morristown Municipal Airport
Michel Tohane: It’s quite simply the gateway to the United
States! To boot, we have the same customers and the same
challenges, which gives us a lot in common.
What are the strengths of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur
William G. Barkhauer: The Côte d’Azur has long been a favorite
destination from New York. We have a policy of forming ties with
other airports as soon as the opportunity presents itself, and we
hope that this Sister Airport Relationship, as we call it, will lead
to a fruitful collaboration between MMU and ACA.
What specifically can be expected from this venture
Michel Tohane: We’ll share our expertise and the advantages for
our customers will be quite evident: For example, we’re working
on shared commercial privileges with identical benefits at MMU
and ACA (parking, rates, services, etc.).
