The form of real estate development we’ve
been pursuing for over twenty years is more
than a job – it’s the passion that drives us
every day. We create turnkey projects. Throughout the
construction process, we communicate a great deal with both
our customers and our teams. I’m convinced that this is the
recipe for a successful building project, one in which people
are the central element in all things. My motto: “The success
belongs to everyone; the credit goes to the team.”
Can Savoyard tradition be honored while still adding a touch
of originality
To date, Baccarat Promotion has built fourteen chalets, each
one unique. We’ve always sought to design buildings that are
distinguished, with an identity all their own. We work with
talented architects – Bernard Taillandier and Marek Grzegorczyk.
We have to assess the environment in which we’re going to
build any project, evaluating the terrain, the neighborhood, the
natural light, the views, the sun exposure, etc. The need to
comply with building regulations has never prevented us from
giving each project a touch of originality. For example, we built
White Pearl and Black Pearl, a white chalet and a black one,
both on the same plot.
Is there such a thing as a contemporary Savoyard chalet, or is
that an oxymoron
The Savoyard chalet can be traditional and contemporary at
the same time. While these so-called modern chalets are built
with today’s technology, meeting current comfort standards,
they can also incorporate the fundamentals of traditional
chalets. We can reinterpret them without copying them, while
faithfully using local materials and preserving the original,
sturdy spirit that’s so perfectly suited to the mountains.
