2. Description
ROWELD P160B/V, P250B/V, P315B/V, P500B und P630B are compact, easy to transport butt
fusion pipe welding machines which were specifically developed for use on building sites and in
particular in pipe trenches. The welding machines are also very well suited for use in workshop
environments.
The CNC unit controls and monitors an automatic welding process as well as stores and
protocols welding data pursuant to DVS guidelines and other national standards.
The versatility of the ROWELD welding machines allows the operator to securely join 40-630 mm
(outer dimensions) pipes and accoutrements for all plumbing and sanitation applications as
listed below::
I. pipe to pipe
II. pipe to pipe fitting
III. pipe to T-piece
IV. pipe to welding neck
The essential machine components are:
CNC basic unit
Basic unit in tried and tested non-warping design and equipped with precision distance sensor
and encoded telemetry cable.
The fully automated version of the basic unit is equipped with a fusion element retainer and
withdrawal mechanism.
All CNC basic units can be operated with a conventional hydraulic pump.
Clamp adapters 40-630 mm in accordance with machine type.
CNC operator control unit
The ROWELD CNC operator control unit is suited for both the fully automatic (FA) as well as the
semi-automatic (SA) operation modes and equipped with the following features: a clearly
organised, backlit display with 8 lines of 21 characters per line, an alphanumeric key panel with
45 keys, an ambient temperature sensor fitted in the intake conduit, signal lamps and sirens as
well as function keys.
CNC heating plate
In the fully automated version the heating plate is automatically disengaged and ejected shortly
after the warm-up phase when the basic unit is started. This substantially reduces the changeover
time decisive for the quality of the weldament joint. The heating plate position is
continuously monitored. The heating plate is furnished with a protective cover to protect the
operator against accidental contact and retain warmth in the waiting position.
In the semi-automatic version the operator must manually retract the heating plate. However
the basic unit closes automatically to reduce the change-over time.
In accordance with DVS the temperature of the heating plate is continuously monitored and
controlled by the CNC operator control unit in both versions.
All heating plates are furnished with a long-life PTFE non-stick coating.
