Chase), 1993-1997Orientation de la rechercheLe chercheur s'intéresse aux pathologies des noyaux gris centraux et aux troubles du mouvement qu'elles engendrent, tant au plan pathophysiologiqueque thérapeutique, dans une perspective à la fois fondamentale et clinique. Il développe des modèles animaux pour caractériser les mécanismescentraux participant à l'apparition des dyskinésies, en particulier la contribution des systèmes non dopaminergiques. Il pilote également des essaiscliniques chez les Parkinsoniens et les sujets avec dyskinésie bucco-faciale.Principaux projets en cours :Research orientationThe researcher is interested in basal ganglia disorders with an emphasis on pathophysiology and experimental therapeutics, using both basic and clinicalapproaches. He develops animal models to characterize brain mechanisms contributing to the induction of dyskinesias, particularly those affectingnondopaminergic systems.
