Possess a Diploma/Certificate or professional experience in the field of
Malay Studies like Language, Literature, Arts, Culture and Malay
Community recognized at the national level
or
Passed the STPM not within the current year with a fulfillment of the
specific programme requirements as follows:
Obtained at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) at the STPM level in the
following subjects:
• Malay Language/Literature In Malay
Has Fulfilled General University Requirements
and
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROGRAMME
Possess the Islamic Teachers College (Maktab Perguruan Islam)
Certificate, Ministry of Education Malaysia, and has passed two (2)
Islamic Studies subjects including Arabic in the STPM/equivalent
examination with at least three (3) years working experience in the
teaching profession.
or
Possess the Islamic Teachers College (Maktab Perguruan Islam)
Certificate, Ministry of Education Malaysia, and the Sijil Menengah
Agama with at least five (5) years working experience in a related field.
or
Possess other qualifications that are recognized as equivalent by the
Government of Malaysia and approved by the University of Malaya
Senate.
or
Passed the STPM not within the current year with a fulfillment of the
specific programme requirements as follows:
Obtained at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) at STPM level in the following
subjects:
• Syariah/Usuluddin;
and
Obtained at least passed Higher Arabic Language at SPM. Passed
Thanawi certificate may replace the passing of Higher Arabic Language
at SPM level.
Passed test and interview.
