and Linguistics UM pursuing her PhD at FU under
UM’s Skim Latihan Akademik IPTA (SLAI)

• Conducted a series of collaboration research project
with TU:- i) Pulsed Plasma Radiation Sources – Prof.
Dr. Wong Chiow San (Fac. Sciences) and Prof. Wong
Xin Xin (Electrical and Engineering Dept., TU)
ii) Atmospheric Pressure Glow Discharge – Prof. Dr.
Wong Chiow San (Fac. Sciences) and Prof. Wong Xin

• Tshinghua University is offering 2 scholarships to UM
• Mr. Ling Tek Soon has been sent by UM to TU for
PhD Programme Under ‘Skim Latihan Akademik
IPTA’ (SLAI) slot for the year 2007 under ICS in the
field of China Politics for a duration of 3 years from 28
August 2007.
• Prof. Liu Shi (Dept. of Chinese Language and
Literature, TU) will teach at the Department of
Chinese Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,
UM from July 2008 – July 2009.
