11. Holding Other Positions
Holding other positions whether within or outside of the University of Malaya is not
allowed.
12. Source of Finances
This scheme is funded by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education’s allocation for the
Research University.
13. The Authority to Appoint
(1) The authority to appoint the Post Doctoral Research Fellow is with the Vice
Chancellor .
(2) A Selection Committee must be set up for the purpose of recommending the
appointment of the Post Doctoral Research Fellow for the consideration of the Vice
Chancellor.
(3) The Selection Committee may approve a higher honorarium for candidates with
outstanding expertise.
14. Application
(1) Application is open all year.
(2) Invitation to apply will be advertised once a year (beginning of the year);
(3) Applications must be through the stipulated form which can be downloaded from the
University of Malaya Website.
(4) Applications must be submitted to the Director, Institute of Management, Research &
Consultancy (IPPP) through the Head of the RC (PTj) to be checked and verified
prior to submission to the HRD for approval.
(5) Candidates must submit original documents/certificates when reporting for duty.
