Lahir di Jakarta, Arleen A. adalah ibu dua anak. Ia mulai menulis buku anak sejak
tahun 2004 karena saat itu ia menyadari bahwa tidak mudah untuk mendapatkan
buku anak yang baik tetapi dengan harga yang terjangkau di Jakarta. Buku
pertamanya diterbitkan pada tahun 2005. Dalam lima belas tahun terakhir ini,
telaah terbit kurang lebih 285 buku anak dan 15 novel dan diterbitkan oleh lebih
dari 30 penerbit di Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam dan India dan Saudi Arabia.
