Lighting the fire for the first time• Extract all the attached documentation and accessories from the monobloc unit.• Carefully read the operating instructions. When lighting the fire for the first time and also when the fire has not been used for a long time, use only a little fuel(all the materials need time to adjust to heat). Unpleasant fumes may be released due to the evaporation of paint orgrease; all that is required is to ventilate the room a little.Ventilate well your room and keep your children away from fumes. The 555 is equipped with a control that allows regulation of the combustion air flow, denominated primary, whichdetermines the monobloc unit's thermal yield. Therefore, pay careful attention to the positions listed here below:Position “+” combustion air: only use in the phases ofignition and heating.+-Picture 3: Primary air regulation monobloc unit 555Position “-” combustion air: only use in the phase ofnominal thermal yield and ember maintenance.IgnitionIn the ignition phase, the stove must be rapidly brought to operating temperature. Should this occur slowly, theformation of condensate will be inevitable and the glass will become dirty.Load the stove with the amounts of fuel using the methods described below:1. Position the primary air regulation controls in the "+" position (maximum position) use only in theignition and heating phases.2. Place the material for kindling (paper, firelighter, etc.) at the centre of the stove join together small pieces oftinder wood in the form pyramids (spruce). After the small-sized wood has completely burned, add 2 – 3small hard-wood logs (beech, oak, birch).3. For a rapid ignition of the tinder wood keep the small door about 2 cm. for 5 – 10 min.Operation and nominal thermal yield1. After having formed a sufficient quantity of embers, turn the primary air regulation control in the nominalthermal yield position (see Picture 3).2. Load the stove with the quantity of fuel as described below Tabella 1.3. Once the flame has developed, close the door.4. When loading the wood, do not suddenly open the door otherwise exhaust gas can leak out, always usethe glove provided.Tabelle 1: Quantity of fuelVersion Number of logs Quantity [kg]c UNO / c DUE 2 1.7451
