Do not put tools orsimilar on the battery, i.e. on the terminalpoles and cell connectors.Risk of injury. Ensure that wounds never comeinto contact with lead. Always clean your handsafter having worked with batteries.Insert batteries and connectThe BP package model contains a built-inbattery. Tilt the water tank backwards. Insert the battery in the trough. WarningPay attention to correct poles. Connect the connection cable to thefree battery poles (+) and (-). Tilt the water tank towards the front. WarningCharge the battery before commissioningthe machine.Charging batteryNoteThe device is equipped with a safety mechanismto prevent total discharge, i.e. whenthe permissible minimum capacity isreached, then the machine can only bedriven and existing lamps can be switchedon. In such a case, the battery monitoringsymbol on the control console glows red. Drive the machine directly to the chargingstation; avoid any steep gradients inthe process.NoteWhile using other batteries (for e.g. batteriesfrom other manufacturers) the total dischargeprotection level must be reset bythe Kärcher aftersales service according tothe respective battery. Observe supply networkand fuse protection - see "Charger".Only use the charger in dry rooms with sufficientventilation!NoteAverage charging time is approx. 10 hours.The recommended chargers (matching thebatteries used) are regulated electronicallyand will automatically switch off the chargingprocess.
