PIN OVEN CHAINSCATENE PIN OVENAPPLICATIONAPPLICAZIONE C2,C3Pin oven chains are used in can painting and labeling lines.Over the years these facilities have significantly increased line speeds.In modern plants there are chains running at speed up to 4 meters persecond in order to guarantee an output capacity of 1800-2000 cansper minute. Inside the baking ovens the temperature can be as high as300°C. The chain running at high speeds, in and out, the bakingovens reach high temperatures.This fact means that the extended pin chain is subject to wear at amuch faster rate than before. In line with these applicationrequirements, Regina has developed special options to the standardcarbon steel chain.1) 3/4“ pitch pin oven chain with pins having a special surfacetreatment: this feature allows to extend the useful life of the chaindespite very high running speeds and a high temperatureenvironment. Given the type of manufacturing process a speciallubrication is required. Every 7 pitches the chainfeatures purpose-designed extended pins witha specially developed plastic tip (whichcarries the can) for high durability at hightemperatures.2) 3/4” pitch pin oven chainwith sealed-in lubrication:this chain features Regina’sO-Ring technology, bymeans of which the pin/bushing articulation of thechain is constantly lubricated by the special lubricant thatis sealed-in by the elastic O-Ring. Also this solution canwithstand high operating temperatures.Sono adoperate negli impianti di verniciatura e xerigrafia delle lattine.Con gli anni questi impianti hanno aumentato notevolmente la velocitàdelle linee.Oggi in tali impianti sono presenti catene che lavorano a velocità elevate,fino a 4 metri al secondo, per garantire la produttività di 1800-2000 lattine al minuto.Le temperature nei forni possono raggiungere i300°C. Il passaggio all’interno di questi forni causa elevate temperaturedi esercizio della catena.Questo fatto significa che le catene con perni estesi sono soggette aduna usura molto più spinta di quanto avveniva in passato. In linea conqueste caratteristiche applicative, Regina ha sviluppato delle alternativealla catena in acciaio al carbonio standard:1. Catena di passo 3/4” con perni con trattamento termochimico dellasuperficie speciale che permettono di aumentare la durata dellacatena pur operando a velocità molto elevate ed ad alte temperature.È necessaria una lubrificazione speciale della catena. Ogni 7passi la catena monta un perno esteso progettato ad-hoc nella cuiestremità viene fissata una speciale ogiva in plastica (che trasportala lattina) resistente alle elevate temperature di lavoro.2. Catena di passo 3/4” con lubrificazione interna permanentesigillata da O-Ring: questa catena è stata sviluppatausufruendo della tecnologia Regina per lecatene con O-Ring.
