The basics<br />
Creating new information from the Today<br />
screen<br />
From the Today screen, you can create new information,<br />
including:<br />
• Appointments<br />
• Contacts<br />
• Excel files<br />
• Messages<br />
• Notes<br />
• Tasks<br />
• Word documents<br />
For more information on creating these items, see the<br />
appropriate instructions for each task in this guide. For<br />
example, to create a new appointment, see “Creating an<br />
appointment” on page 190.<br />
On the Today screen, tap New at the bottom of the<br />
screen, and then select the type of new item you want<br />
to create.<br />
You can remove the programmes that are displayed on<br />
the New menu by tapping Start → Settings → Menus.<br />
