4. Read any installation instructions, Read Me files, or<br />
documentation that comes with the programme. Many<br />
programmes provide special installation instructions.<br />
5. Tap the file, such as a *.xip or *.exe file. The installation<br />
wizard will begin. Follow the directions on the screen.<br />
6. Once installation is complete, tap Start → Programs,<br />
and then tap the programme icon to open the<br />
programme.<br />
Adding a programme to the Start menu<br />
Once you have installed new programmes, you can add<br />
any of them to the Start menu so that you can quickly<br />
open them from the Today screen. You can register up<br />
to 9 programmes in the Start menu.<br />
To add a programme to the Start menu:<br />
1. From the Start menu, tap Settings → Menus.<br />
2. Select the check box for the programme you want to<br />
add.<br />
If you do not see the programme listed, you can either<br />
use File Explorer on your Pocket PC Phone to move the<br />
programme to the Start Menu folder, or use ActiveSync<br />
on the PC to create a shortcut to the programme and<br />
place the shortcut in the Start Menu folder.<br />
