La Chiesa del Santo Sepolcro di
Gerusalemme, il luogo più sacro dei
cristiani, è condivisa da sei dominazioni
che si combattono per ogni metro
quadrato. Due famiglie musulmane,
custodi della chiave d’ingresso della
chiesa, litigano su chi sia il vero custode
delle chiavi. Jonny, un ufficiale di polizia
israeliano in carica, sta cercando di
preservare l’antico e fragile Status Quo.
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in
Jerusalem, the holiest Christian site, is shared
by six dominations fighting each other for
every square meter. Two Muslim families,
guardians of the entrance key to the church,
argue who is the true key custodian. Jonny,
an Israeli police officer in charge, is trying to
preserve the ancient, fragile Status Quo.
Claudia (41) e Maja (16) sono madre
e figlia. La loro relazione è sempre stata

Claudia (41) and Maja (16) are mother
and daughter. Their relationship has always
been difficult, characterized by quarrels and
arguments. When Maja decides to convert
to Islam and has her first child, she needs to
move in with her grandmother Anna (63),
who, on the other hand, is a strong-believing
Christian. While Claudia searches for herself
after a difficult separation, Maja fights for
her mother and grandmother to understand
and accept her new faith and her desire to
move into a mother-child home so that she
can become more independent. The birth of
Maja’s daughter Djana seems to reunite all
three women and mothers.
