Incarnation è un cortometraggio che
esplora empaticamente la condizione
umana del clero, l’amore e la
responsabilità che esso richiede. È un
intento di riconciliare le nostre vite
mondane senza trascurare la nostra
spiritualità, ma allo stesso tempo il
film persegue la messa in discussione
dell’autorità istituzionale ed esplora la
possibilità di decidere collettivamente
altre pratiche e modi di stare insieme.
Incarnation is a short film that explores
empathically, the human condition of the
clergy, and love and the responsibility it
requires. It’s an intent of reconcile our
mundane lives without neglecting our
spirituality, but at the same time the film
pursues to question institutional authority and
explores the possibility of deciding collectively
other practices and ways of being together.
Il giorno in cui sua madre muore, Alex
non riesce a raccogliere abbastanza
persone per dire kaddish sulla tomba
di sua madre. Con la benedizione del
rabbino, Alex intraprende un viaggio
alla ricerca di persone con cui pregare.
Ma strada facendo capisce che la sua
più grande paura è quella di essere solo.
On the day his mother dies, Alex cannot gather
enough people to say kaddish on his mother’s
grave. With the rabbi’s blessing, Alex sets out
on a journey to find people to pray with. But
along the way he understands that his biggest
fear is to be alone.
