La passione per il vino che ha originato
Maso Dossi parte da lontano, dai “Doneti”
di Cimone, i fratelli Andrea e Augusto
Rossi, che aprirono un’osteria negli anni
’30, poi chiusa con l’inizio della seconda
guerra mondiale. Fu uno dei nipoti, Carlo,
a riprendere anni dopo l’attività creando
negli anni ‘60 l’Azienda Agricola Vini “Carlo
Rossi”.
Attrezzò con lo stretto necessario la
cantina della casa materna, nel centro
del paese di Cimone, sistemando i “volti”
e producendo vino con la metodologia
tramandata in famiglia. Agli inizi dovette
accontentarsi di vendere vino sfuso a pochi
clienti occasionali, parenti ed amici. Nel
1970 decise di attrezzarsi con un sistema
semiautomatico di imbottigliamento:
il primo vino proposto fu il “Trentino
Merlot D.O.C. 1971”. Con il tempo
l’attività si sviluppò e fu necessaria una
sede più grande: nel 1985 Carlo costruì,
coinvolgendo tutta la famiglia, la sede
attuale, in mezzo ai vigneti in località “Ai
Dossi”.
La nuova azienda diventò così “Maso
ai Dossi”. Dal 1994 nella conduzione
della cantina è subentrato il figlio Silvio,
diplomato all’Istituto Agrario di S. Michele
all’Adige, validamente aiutato in azienda
dal figlio Federico, operatore tecnico
agricolo e dal nipote Manuel, perito
agrario.
L’innovazione e l’adeguamento alle nuove
tecnologie in grado di migliorare la qualità
sono una costante della filosofia aziendale
di Silvio, che continua così la tradizione
famigliare con lo stesso entusiasmo dei
nonni ma, com’è giusto, anche con lo
sguardo rivolto al futuro. L’azienda dispone
di 9 ettari di vigneti ai piedi del Monte
Bondone, una zona particolarmente
vocata alla coltivazione della vite.

vecchia osteria quando il contadino, dopo
una giornata di duro lavoro in campagna,
si ritrovava a chiacchierare con “en góz de
vin bon”.
The passion for wine that originated Maso Dossi
starts from afar, from the “Doneti” of Cimone, the
brothers Andrea and Augusto Rossi, who opened
a tavern in the 1930s, which was then closed
with the beginning of the Second World War. It
was one of the grandsons, Carlo, who resumed
business years later, creating the “Carlo Rossi”
Wine Farm in the 1960s.
He equipped the cellar of the maternal house in
the center of the town of Cimone with the bare
necessities, arranging the “faces” and producing
wine with the methodology handed down in the
family. At the beginning he had to settle for selling
bulk wine to a few occasional customers, relatives
and friends. In 1970 he decided to equip himself
with a semi-automatic bottling system: the first
wine proposed was the “Trentino Merlot D.O.C.
1971 “. Over time, the business developed and
a larger site was needed: in 1985 Carlo built the
current site, involving the whole family, in the
middle of the vineyards in the “Ai Dossi” area.
The new company thus became “Maso ai Dossi”.
In 1994, his son Silvio, who graduated from the
Agricultural Institute of S. Michele all’Adige,
took over the management of the winery and
was effectively helped in the company by his
son Federico, an agricultural technician and his
nephew Manuel, an agricultural expert.
Innovation and adaptation to new technologies
capable of improving quality are a constant in
Silvio’s business philosophy, who thus continues
the family tradition with the same enthusiasm
as his grandparents but, as is right, also with an
eye to the future. The company has 9 hectares of
vineyards at the foot of Monte Bondone, an area
particularly suited to the cultivation of vines.
