Eyal e Rivka si sono appena trasferiti in
una nuova città. È venerdì pomeriggio.
Tra un’ora e mezza è l’ora dell’accensione
delle candele. Eyal è un uomo
smemorato. Dove sono le candele?
Eyal and Rivka have just move to a new city.
It’s Friday afternoon. In an hour and a half is
time for the Lighting of the Candles. Eyal is a
forgetful man. Where are the candles?
Un giovane ladro ruba la borsa di
una ragazza nel parco. Mentre scappa
dai suoi inseguitori, incontra un
vecchio prete che aiuta il ragazzo a
nascondersi e ad uscire dalla situazione.
Il prete vuole tirare il ladro fuori dalla
criminalità e gli stereotipi imposti
che gli impediscono di pensare con la
testa sua. Notando la natura incline al
rischio del ladro, il prete con l’astuzia
e la manipolazione spinge il ragazzo di
scommettere che domani sarà la fine del
mondo. In gioco ognuno mette il più
prezioso.
A young thief steals a bag from a girl in a
park. As he’s getting away from his pursuers
he comes across an old priest who helps him
to hide out. The priest wishes to save the thief
from the clutches of crime and stereotypes
which prevent the guy from thinking for
himself. The priest noticed the thief is a betting
man so with guile and manipulations he
pushes the guy to make a bet that the world
ends tomorrow. Each of them puts something
they hold dearest on the line.
