With a beautiful spring already here
and a hot summer rushing to us, we are
very pleased to present you a new 12th issue
of „Restoranø verslas“. For some
people working in the restaurant business
summer is a time of vacation and rest, and
for the others it is the busiest time of the
year. In any case it is one of the most beautiful
and pleasant seasons in Lithuania.
While you are waiting for this wonderful
season we offer you various articles that
would be of a great help to you at the
moment or in the future.
As always there is a list of places to eat
that opened in March-April. The most interesting
ones are described in more detail
(page 7).
In the Equipment Rubrics we explore
the kinds of outdoor grills the could attract
more customers to the restaurants
during summer season (pages 18-19).
The barbecue season is coming therefore
we present an article about preparation
of beef steak and features of grilling
in the Product Rubrics (pages 20-21).
An interesting article about Vicenca,
province of Veneto Region of Italy will introduce
the readers to the most prominent
products and their producers (pages 22-23).
In the Drinks column we talk about cider
and discuss its supply to the bars and
restaurants of Lithuania (pages 24-25).
Here we introduce you to the news of
the market of restaurants and hotels, and
new products that just appeared to the market
(pages 8-9).
In the Rubrics about coffee we talk
about how you should taste coffee and
what criteria you should pay attention to
(pages 26-27).
There has been a great shortage of mutton
and lamb over the last few years in
Lithuania, however more and more farmers
got to raising sheep, therefore at
present a stabile supply of lamb to the restaurants
is finally ensured (page 10).
We continue on the cycle of the articles
“Interesting Restaurants”. This time we describe
the most interesting Russian restaurants
(pages 11-13).
In the Concept Rubrics we are trying to
go deeper into the situation of the nightclubs
of Lithuania. We have interviewed a
couple of people who have been in this
business for a while. They have described
the current situation and future tendencies
in great detail (pages 14-15).
As always we present accomplished
work of the Association of Chefs, Cooks,
and Bartenders, operating in Lithuania and
the annual events planned (pages 32-33).
In the Rubrics of Consultation we
present novelties of accounting systems,
and control of digital hi-fi and lighting system
(pages 29-30).
There is a short overview of the novelties
and changes in the market of restaurants
and hotels of Lithuania (pages 34-35).
On the last pages of the magazine
there is a list of exhibitions planned all
around the world for the months of June-
August and an index of companies servicing
HoReCa sector in Lithuania (pages 37-38).
