As a method of upbringing, social pedagogy is related to organization of students’ selfgovernment.
Overall, in Latvia, during 1920´s and 1930´s, social pedagogy was viewed almost
exclusively as the relationship between the individual and society, and usage of the concept
of social pedagogy was not always consistent – it was often identified with the social or
public upbringing.
