De Belgische tegelindustrie van art nouveau tot seventies.
Belgische tegelbedrijven kenden in de 20ste eeuw
faam in binnen- en buitenland. Bedrijven als Boch
Frères, Gilliot en Maison Helman waren toonaangevend.
Het grote succes van de vloer- en wandtegel is
te danken aan prachtige realisaties in art nouveau,
van ingenieuze geometrische patronen en sierlijke
bloemen tot verfijnde, kleurrijke tegel tableaus. Ze
werden op maat gemaakt en ontworpen door decorateliers
of vooraanstaande kunstenaars en sierden
gevels, interieurs en handelszaken. Herontdek deze

The Belgian tile industry was a flourishing one in
the 20th century. Boch Frères, Gilliot and Maison
Helman were the pioneering companies. For the
main part, their success was to be ascribed to
stunning art nouveau realizations, from ingenious
geometric patterns and intricate floral designs to
sophisticated, colourful tile murals. They were made

Eustaas en Ida van Boulogne
‘De Graaf en de Heilige’ neemt de lezer mee op een

de 11de eeuw, toen het graafschap Boulogne als

van Boulogne, Eustaas II, was een van de dappere
