Executive Summary<br />
Investments in mineral exploration, mining and mineral transformation (metallurgy<br />
and nonmetallics), almost all of which coming from private sector, are expected<br />
to total US$ 270 billion by <strong>2030</strong>, with an additional 30% of this amount for infrastructure<br />
and logistics, achieving US$ 350 billion.<br />
As a result of increased production, the number of jobs will also rise by a factor of<br />
three over the coming two <strong>de</strong>ca<strong>de</strong>s. It is important to point out that mineral transformation<br />
creates quantitatively more jobs. This reinforces the need of integrated policies<br />
for productive chains in the mining industry, in or<strong>de</strong>r to increase the importance of<br />
mineral assets extracted nationally.<br />
All <strong>PNM</strong>-<strong>2030</strong> objectives and actions are of the highest importance. However,<br />
two stand out:<br />
• public governance: in or<strong>de</strong>r to consolidate the new mineral regulatory framework,<br />
with the creation of the National Mineral Policy Council; promote changes in the<br />
authorization and concession system create the National Mining Agency; in addition<br />
to revising the policy for Financial Compensation for the Exploration of Mineral<br />
Resources, the Brazilian mineral royalties;<br />
