Marrocos, Marrakesh é vida. Amo a cultura, as pessoas, a
comida. É tudo de bom. O Japão é outro mundo, você se
sente em uma espaçonave o tempo inteiro é uma loucura.
E o Havaí, a vida marinha de lá é absurda. Adoraria voltar
para visitar outras ilhas.
Nas passarelas você precisa usar as roupas mais lindas
dos estilistas mais badalados. Mas qual é o seu estilo no
dia a dia?
Prefiro estar confortável. Estou sempre de jeans, camiseta,
vestidinho. Me arrumo mais para sair, porque no trabalho
estou sempre montada. No dia a dia sou mais largada
mesmo.
Tem alguma saia justa que já aconteceu em algum desfile?
Tive várias. Teve uma em um desfile do André Lima que
não fiz a prova de roupa. Era um vestido super longo e
a passarela era de acrílico, escorregadia. Em vez de colocarem
antiderrapante na sola do sapato, usaram uma
fita dupla face e o vestido embolava inteiro em baixo do
sapato e eu ia tropeçando. Fui tropeçando de cabo a rabo
da passarela e no final entrei com o vestido embolado
no colo para não tropeçar mais. As pessoas ficaram com
dó de mim, mas até achei engraçado depois. Tem que rir
desse tipo de situação. Teve também um desfile da Max
Mara em Milão, que usei uma saia lápis – me dá aflição
até hoje quando vejo a foto – que era super apertada no
joelho. Mal conseguia caminhar e quando vi estava todo
mundo pisando forte, as modelos com certeza me passaram
na passarela, demorei uns 15 minutos para sair, mas
deu tudo certo.
Já pensou em mudar de profissão? Se não fosse modelo
o que seria?
Se não fosse modelo continuaria jogando vôlei. Jogava
profissional antes de mudar para Nova Iorque, sempre foi
algo que gostei bastante. Trabalharia com alguma coisa
envolvida com esporte.

On the fashion runway, you need to use the most beautiful
clothes from the most exciting designers. But what is your
day-today style?
I prefer the comfortable. I’m always in jeans, t-shirt, a light
dress. I fix myself up more when I go out, because at work
I’m always completely made-up. I begin every day in a much
more relaxed style.
Have there been any embarrassing situations during a
fashion show?
I have had several. There was one in an Andre Lima show
where I hadn’t done the fitting. The dress was super long and
the runway was acrylic, slippery. Instead of putting non-slip
on the bottom of the shoes, they used a double sided tape
and the dress stuck to the bottom of my shoes and I stumbled.
I went head over heels and in the end, I entered the runway
holding up the dress so as not to stumble. People took pity
on me, but later, I found it funny. You have to laugh at this
kind of situation. There was also the Max Mara show in Milan,
I wore a pencil skirt – it gives me grief till today when I see
the picture – it was super tight at the knees. I could barely
walk and when I looked around everybody was stomping,
the other models were all passing me by, it took me about
15 minutes to get off the runway, but it all worked out.
Have you ever thought about changing careers? If you
weren’t a model what would you want to be?
If I didn’t want to be a model, I would have continued playing
volleyball. I played professionally before moving to New
York. There was something in it that I very much enjoyed. I
would work with something involved with sports.
Have you ever been to Curitiba?
I have several friends there. I think the city is wonderful,
lively with very good food.

Tenho alguns amigos. Acho a cidade maravilhosa, animada
e comida muito boa.
