MULHERES
O mês que passou, além de homenagear as mulheres, foi também do
aniversário de Curitiba. Datas importantes porque exaltam dois símbolos que
representam muito para os residentes na capital. Com certeza, todo cidadão
tem uma mulher indispensável em sua vida, seja ela mãe, esposa ou filha.
E a cidade, por ser onde criamos nossas raízes, tem uma importância muito
significativa na história pessoal de quem nela habita. Li, vi e acompanhei uma
série de homenagens e todas elas foram unânimes: gratidão por Curitiba. A
cidade que tanto amamos e gostamos de cuidar. É um sentimento de amor que
um filho tem por sua mãe. Essa é a Curitiba que tanto amamos e ao mesmo
tempo lutamos para proteger. Assim é a Curitiba da gente, que vive, desfruta,
trabalha, aceita e temos orgulho de dizer: sou curitibano. Mesmo que isso não
seja muito verdade, uma vez que a cidade absorveu uma série de imigrantes,
engana-se quem diz que o povo daqui é fechado, de poucas palavras e difícil
de se fazer amigos. Pelo contrário, somos exigentes, reservados e ao mesmo
tempo muito receptivos quando tratados com respeito e educação. Parabéns
Curitiba e aos curitibanos que fazem dessa cidade a melhor do mundo para
se viver!

CONGRATULATIONS CURITIBA
AND ITS WOMEN

The past month, in addition to honoring women, was also the birthday
of Curitiba. Important dates because they exalt two symbols that represent
very much for the residents of the State Capital. Of course, every citizen has
an indispensable woman in their life, be it mother, wife or daughter. And the
City, by being where we created our roots, has a significant importance in
the personal history of those who live here. Read, see and enjoy a series of
tributes, all of which are unanimous: gratitude for Curitiba. The City we love
so much and like to take care of. It is a feeling like the love that a child has for
his mother. This is the Curitiba we love so much and, at the same time, fight
to protect. Thus, this is our Curitiba, where we live, play, work and accept,
and we are proud to say: I am a Curitibano. And even if not, the City has
absorbed so many immigrants, you are wrong to say that the people here are
remote, of few words and difficult to make friends with. On the contrary, we
are demanding, reserved and, at the same time, very receptive when treated
politely and with respect. Congratulations Curitiba and Curitibanos who make
this City the best in the world in which to live!
