deu nome à confraria. Atualmente está na
quinta edição. A festa de lançamento este
ano, contou com a presença do prefeito

ma reunião entre pessoas com algo em comum. Assim
são as confrarias. Há aqueles que se encontrem
para degustar vinhos e cervejas, fumar charutos,
cozinhar, mas nessa confraria específica a pauta é um pouco
diferente. Os 15 amigos que se encontram todas as quintas-
-feiras têm uma paixão em comum: carros.
A ideia surgiu há seis anos e veio do “seu” Carlos Grocoske,
que faleceu em outubro passado. Mas o filho dele,
Antônio, ou Toni, fez questão de, junto com os demais
confrades, manter a tradição viva. “Meu pai participava
de vários grupos de carros, mas eles são segmentados por
alguma classificação, como ano, marca, modelo. E havia
muitos atritos entre grupos diferentes. Então ele resolveu
criar a confraria, onde qualquer um, independente do carro
que goste, é bem-vindo”, detalha Antônio. Assim nasceu a
confraria Clássicos de Curitiba. As reuniões ocorrem na garagem
de alguns dos confrades, começam às 19h e vão noite
afora, afinal, assunto é o que não falta. Todas as quintas,

meeting of people with something in common. So
are brotherhoods. There are those for wine and beer
tasting, smoking cigars, cooking, but this specific
brotherhood’s agenda is a little different. The 15 friends
who meet each Thursday have a passion in common: cars.
The idea came about six years ago and came from
“Mr.” Carlos Grocoske, who died last October. But his son,
Antônio, made a point, along with the other members, of
keeping the tradition alive. “My father participated in several
car groups, but each was segmented by some classification,
such as year, make, or model. And there were many conflicts
between the different groups. So he decided to create the
Brotherhood, where anyone, regardless of the car they liked,
was welcome,” details Antônio.
Thus was born the Curitiba Brotherhood of Classic
Cars. The meetings take place in the garage of one of the
Brotherhood and start at 7:00 pm and can go on all night as
the subject is not lacking. Every Thursday, rain or shine, they
take advantage of a dinner prepared by Antônio’s mother.
