Grande do Sul (22 MW), Ceará (21 MW) e São Paulo (18 MW).
ver recent years, advantages such as tax incentives,
lower interest rates on financing,
and the possibility of supplying energy to the
public electric energy grid and converting it
into credits to be used for reducing the electric bill has
been stimulating the installation of mini-generating systems
in Brazil.
In Brazil today, the number of "home" power generation
systems – i.e. systems installed in homes, and commercial
and industrial locations – is 16,311 units, according to data
from the National Electricity Energy Agency (Aneel). The
total power generating capacity of the units is 182 MW,
which corresponds to the volume generated by a medium
sized hydroelectric power station.
Of the total volume of energy generated by mini-generating
systems in Brazil, 40% is by commercial consumers,
30% residential consumers and 18% industrial consumers.
The States with the largest installed power are Minas Gerais
(41 MW), Rio Grande do Sul (22 MW), Ceará (21 MW) and
São Paulo (18 MW).
The volume is the result of the growth trend in the participation
of this type of generation in the Brazilian energy
matrix in recent years. Factors such as the reduction in the
