“There are many stories<br />
around the world stating<br />
that the new Silicon Valley<br />
is emerging somewhere.<br />
The answer to that question<br />
is: there won’t be a<br />
new Silicon Valley!”, says<br />

“Preparamos um roteiro<br />
inicial com base nas pesquisas<br />
realizadas e com<br />
indicações de amigos e<br />
parceiros. Da lista do Startup<br />
Genome, maior pesquisa<br />
sobre ecossistemas<br />
de startups do mundo, no<br />
qual tive a oportunidade<br />
de participar de um jantar<br />
oficial em São Paulo, organizado<br />
pelo embaixador<br />
local Franklin Ribeiro, visitaremos<br />
os 10 primeiros<br />
do ranking. Mas uma das<br />
premissas dessa viagem é<br />
ir em busca do desconhecido<br />
e inusitado. O que<br />
mais queremos é descobrir<br />
locais interessantes<br />
que não imaginávamos visitar.<br />
Dessa forma, não se<br />
assustem se algo do planejamento<br />

“We have prepared an<br />
initial roadmap based on<br />
our researches and talks<br />
to friends and partners<br />
abroad. We will visit the<br />
top 10 ‘Startup Genome’<br />
in the ranking list, the<br />
world’s largest startup<br />
ecosystem survey. I had<br />
the opportunity to attend<br />
an official dinner in Sao<br />
Paulo, hosted by local ambassador<br />
Franklin Ribeiro.<br />
One of the premises of<br />
this trip is to go in search<br />
of the unknown and unusual.<br />
What we want the<br />
most is to find interesting<br />
places where we haven’t<br />
ever imagined of visiting.<br />
So, don’t be scared if<br />
something changes along<br />
the way. We want to be<br />
surprised!”, says Felipe.<br />

Na verdade, estão acontecendo<br />
coisas extraordinárias<br />
em diversos lugares<br />
do mundo, mas cada<br />
ecossistema nasce com<br />
suas peculiaridades, com<br />
objetivos e características<br />
distintas. E essa é a<br />
principal mensagem. Em<br />
qualquer lugar do mundo<br />
hoje pode surgir uma nova<br />
comunidade de fomento à<br />
inovação. Felipe participou<br />
do nascimento de uma<br />
comunidade de inovação,<br />
o ABC Valley, situada no<br />
ABC Paulista. É uma região<br />
com mais de 2,8 milhões<br />
de habitantes e um PIB de<br />
R$112 bilhões e que precisa<br />
se reinventar. O principal<br />
setor econômico é o<br />
automobilístico que já passa<br />
por uma transição para<br />
a indústria da mobilidade.<br />
Actually, extraordinary<br />
things have been happening<br />
in different parts of the<br />
world, but each ecosystem<br />
grows with its own peculiarities,<br />
with different objectives<br />
and characteristics. And that<br />
is the main/the most important<br />
message. Anywhere,<br />
in the world today, a new<br />
community for fostering innovation<br />
can emerge. Felipe<br />
participated in the birth of<br />
an innovation community,<br />
ABC Valley, located in ABC<br />
São Paulo. It is a region with<br />
more than 2.8 million inhabitants<br />
and a GDP of US $ 27<br />
billion. The region needs to<br />
reinvent itself. Its main economic<br />
sector is the automobile<br />
industry that has been<br />
passing through changes to<br />
the mobility industry.
