AFRICA
A África é uma região repleta de curiosidades. Muitas
vezes, as pessoas se referem à África como ela fosse
um país e é aí que aí que deixamos de entender as individualidades.
A União Africana estabeleceu a agenda
2063, com algumas prioridades para o continente, entre
as principais o desenvolvimento da ciência, tecnologia e
inovação.
O roteiro da África começa pelo Cairo – Egito, que tem
feito um trabalho forte de transformação digital, inclusive
criando uma nova capital administrativa de forma
planejada. Depois, seguimos para a Addis Baba - Ethiópia,
sede da União Africana, que tem utilizado a inovação
para resolver os problemas locais.
Na sequência vem Lagos – Nigéria. A principal economia
africana tem um ecossistema de startup avaliado em 2
bilhões de dólares e vem crescendo muito nos últimos
anos, despertando interesses em todo o mundo.
Em seguida, vêm dois países de língua portuguesa, Angola
e Moçambique. Esses países não têm muita tradição
com a inovação, mas algumas iniciativas locais já
começam a despontar. Há grandes possibilidades de se
criar uma aproximação com o Brasil pela proximidade
da língua.
A passagem pela África é concluída em Joanesburgo -
África do Sul, que é o motor econômico do país, com
16% do PIB. O ecossistema é bastante diverso e vem se
desenvolvendo fortemente nos últimos anos, apresentando
grandes possibilidades de crescimento.
Africa is a continent full of curiosities. People often refer
to Africa as a country, and that is a fact that we don’t understand
individualities. The African Union has set the 2063
agenda, with some priorities for the continent, among which
is the development of science, technology and innovation.
The Africa roadmap begins with Cairo - Egypt, which has
done a lot of digital transformation work, including creating
a new administrative capital in a planned way. Then, they
are going to Addis Baba - Ethiopia, headquarters of the African
Union, which has been using innovation to solve local
problems.
After that, they go to Lagos - Nigeria. This city, Africa’s leading
economy, has a startup ecosystem valued at $ 2 billion
and has grown a lot in the last years, drawing attention
from all the world.
Next stops: two Portuguese-speaking countries, Angola and
Mozambique. These countries do not have much tradition
with innovation, but some local initiatives are already emerging.
There are great possibilities us to create an approach
with Brazil through the proximity of the language.
The last city in Africa will be Johannesburg - South Africa,
which is the country’s economic engine, with 16% of GDP.
The ecosystem is quite diverse and has been developing
strongly in recent years, with great growth possibilities.
