Cities & Territories of the Future Award
Distinguir projetos que melhor usam a
tecnologia para transformar a vida nas
cidades portuguesas é o objetivo de uma
nova iniciativa lançada pela APDC, o
Prémio Cidades e Territórios Digitais, numa
altura em que a aposta na transformação
dos centros urbanos em smart cities é uma
realidade em aceleração.
A 1º edição foi lançada no Dia Mundial
das Cidades, que se comemorou a 31
de outubro de 2021, e os vencedores
foram conhecidos na edição de 2022
do Congresso APDC. Este prémio foi
patrocinado pela NOS e contou também
com o apoio da Casa da Moeda, Cellnex,
Experis, Galp e Randstad a algumas das
nove categorias a concurso.
Numa competição liderada pela Secção
Cidades Saudáveis e Sustentáveis, da
APDC, e destinada a reconhecer projetos
pioneiros, assim como ideias e estratégias
que tornem as cidades mais habitáveis,
sustentáveis e economicamente viáveis,
que foram anunciadas no Congresso,
onde foram destacadas as inovações
nacionais, tendo sido ainda atribuídas
várias menções honrosas e um vencedor
supra-categoria, por ser um projeto
maturado e fortemente implantado no
território nacional, com elevado sucesso,
que se enquadra também em várias
categorias deste Prémio.
O júri de cada categoria foi constituído
por representantes de empresas e
organizações com conhecimento
específico nas categorias a concurso.

Distinguishing projects that best use
technology to transform life in Portuguese
cities is the goal of a new initiative
launched by APDC, the Digital Cities and
Territories Award, at a time when the bet
on the transformation of urban centers
into smart cities is an accelerating reality.
The 1st edition was launched on World
Cities Day, which was celebrated on
October 31, 2021, and the winners were
known in the 2022 edition of the APDC
Congress. This award was sponsored by
NOS and was also supported by Mint,
Cellnex, Experis, Galp and Randstad in
some of the nine categories.
In a competition led by the APDC’s
Healthy and Sustainable Cities Section
and aimed at recognizing pioneering
projects, as well as ideas and strategies
that make cities more livable, sustainable
and economically viable, which were
announced at the Congress, where
national innovations were highlighted,
several honorable mentions were also
awarded and a supra-category winner, for
being a mature project strongly implanted
in the national territory, with high success,
which also fits several categories of this
Award.
The jury for each category was made
up of representatives of companies and
organizations with specific knowledge in
the categories in competition.
