THE JOURNEY TO A “DIGITAL-FIRST” WORLD
A JORNADA PARA UM MUNDO “DIGITAL-FIRST”
Embora a pandemia tenha acelerado
o processo de transformação da nossa
economia e sociedade, as perspetivas
económicas e de negócios para os
próximos anos vão manter-se incertas,
assim como o contexto geopolítico
instável causado pela guerra entre a
Rússia e a Ucrânia poderá alterar todas
as previsões de evolução da nossa
economia e sociedade.
Mas, apesar de todas as incertezas, não
há dúvidas que teremos nos próximos
anos uma economia e sociedade
“digital-first”!
Paralelamente, verificamos uma
aceleração ainda maior na transição da
2ª para a 3ª plataforma tecnológica e
nos aceleradores de inovação. Enquanto
o mercado de TI crescerá menos de 5%
ao ano entre 2021 e 2025, as previsões da
IDC apontam para um crescimento de
dois dígitos ao nível da 3ª plataforma e
aceleradores de inovação. Dois dígitos
num mercado que, em média, cresce
apenas 5%, e onde as tecnologias de 2ª
plataforma irão decrescer cerca de 4%
ao ano!
No gráfico abaixo podemos ver a relação
das tecnologias que consideramos terem
maior dimensão e crescimento ao longo
dos próximos anos em Portugal.
Although the pandemic has accelerated
the process of transformation of our
economy and society, the economic
and business outlook for the coming years
will remain uncertain, and the unstable
geopolitical context caused by the
war between Russia and Ukraine could
change all forecasts for the evolution of
our economy and society.
But despite all the uncertainties, there
is no doubt that we will have a “digitalfirst”
economy and society in the coming
years!
In parallel, we see an even greater
acceleration in the transition from 2nd to
3rd platform technology and innovation
accelerators. While the IT market will grow
less than 5% per year between 2021 and
2025, IDC predicts double-digit growth at
the level of 3rd platform and innovation
accelerators. Double digits in a market
that on average grows only 5%, and
where 2nd platform technologies will
decline by about 4% per year!
In the chart below we can see the list of
technologies that we consider to have
the greatest dimension and growth over
the next few years in Portugal.
