ABSTRACT
The Aries Water Company currently manages 50 km of
waste water pipes in reabilitation and it distributes 100 hm
of drinking water. The company’s aim is to join the West
European standards by achieving sustainable development
standards imposed by the EU. Network rehabilitation and
expansion in combination with information systems and
technical equipment for GIS, Modeling, hydraulic and leak
detection for achieving these goals. The Water company
want to improve its image through actions in the media
(television, radio, magazines, information fairs) informing
citizens, and water clients about every step in obtaining a
quality product. “ This is offered to the Turda and Campia-
Turzii area.
The Geographic Information System (GIS) is
configured to enable its use as tool for the operation and
management of preventive maintenance functions, to
facilitate future planning activities, for budget estimations, to
support decision making at senior levels, for evaluation and
for use with cadastral data, information on existing networks
and existing surveying.
The Hydraulic modeling system will be used to
identify anomalies in the distribution network operation
(breakage of pipes or damage to valves), network
optimization, management pressures, further
developments, extensions etc.. The company will perform
hydraulic modelling of water distribution networks. These
models will include a simulation calibrated to allow the
operation of networks for recognition of the problems
encountered in networks. “Calibrated” means a deviation of
+ / - 15% pressure and flow values calculated from those
determined by measurements in the field.

SC Compania de Apă Arieş SA se află în plin santier şi se
alatură companiilor din ţară în atingerea standardelor dezvoltării
durabile impuse de UE , prin activităţile derulate în Proiectul
european ,,Reabilitare şi Extinderea Reţelelor de apă şi Canalizare
din Turda şi Câmpia Turzii”accesat prin Programul Operational
Sectorial de Mediu 2007-2013, respectiv sistemele şi echipamentele
ce sunt achiziţionate sau se vor achiziţiona: GIS, Modelare
hidraulică, Detectări de pierderi, SCADA s.a.
