Hedd<strong>er</strong> psykolog<strong>er</strong> ikke J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>? SIDE 18 | PSYKOLOG NYT NR. 1 | 2011 - Jo, de gør, og også Hans<strong>en</strong> og Niels<strong>en</strong>. Navn<strong>en</strong>e <strong>er</strong> bare ikke lige så udbredt som i rest<strong>en</strong> af d<strong>en</strong> danske befolkning <strong>–</strong> og de <strong>er</strong> antalsmæssigt i frit fald.
I Dansk Psykolog For<strong>en</strong>ing har vi længe undret os: Hedd<strong>er</strong> psykolog<strong>er</strong> ikke J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>? Vores undr<strong>en</strong> <strong>er</strong> blevet bekræftet af d<strong>en</strong> lille boks på forsid<strong>en</strong> af for<strong>en</strong>ing<strong>en</strong>s hjemmeside, hvor psykolog<strong>er</strong>ne lige så stille meld<strong>er</strong> sig ind i det lukkede medlemsforum Psykolog Forum, og hvor man altid kan se navn<strong>en</strong>e på de sidste tre psykolog<strong>er</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> har gjort d<strong>er</strong>es profil<strong>er</strong> synlige for andre. H<strong>er</strong> står d<strong>er</strong> sjæld<strong>en</strong>t J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>, Niels<strong>en</strong> og Hans<strong>en</strong>. Næ, h<strong>er</strong> står d<strong>er</strong> Abele, Axel og Canova. Ell<strong>er</strong> Barnkob, Gavigan og Kahl<strong>er</strong>. Hvis d<strong>er</strong> altså ikke lige står Hossini, Kocsis og Vinum. M<strong>en</strong> J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>? Det sk<strong>er</strong> selvfølgelig, at d<strong>er</strong> snig<strong>er</strong> sig <strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>kelt ind, m<strong>en</strong> <strong>er</strong> det ikke <strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>kelt svale? Vi har und<strong>er</strong>søgt sag<strong>en</strong>. Vi har konsult<strong>er</strong>et medlemsdatabas<strong>en</strong>, Danmarks Statistik og Institut for Navneforskning på Køb<strong>en</strong>havns Univ<strong>er</strong>sitet. Konklusion<strong>en</strong> <strong>er</strong> klar: De almindeligste navne i Danmark <strong>er</strong> også blandt de almindeligste i Dansk Psykolog For<strong>en</strong>ing, m<strong>en</strong> d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> faktisk proc<strong>en</strong>tuelt færre psykolog<strong>er</strong> ved navn J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>, Niels<strong>en</strong> og Hans<strong>en</strong>, <strong>en</strong>d d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> i befolkning<strong>en</strong> som helhed. Så noget om snakk<strong>en</strong> <strong>er</strong> d<strong>er</strong>, om <strong>en</strong>d d<strong>er</strong> selvfølgelig helt bestemt findes psykolog<strong>er</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> hedd<strong>er</strong> J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>. Skal man være krakilsk korrekt, kan man sige: Nej, psykolog<strong>er</strong> hedd<strong>er</strong> Niels<strong>en</strong>, for det <strong>er</strong> så det almindeligste navn blandt psykolog<strong>er</strong>. J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong> på tilbagetog Ifølge Danmarks Statistik var d<strong>er</strong> 1. januar 2010 i Danmark 275.113 J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>’<strong>er</strong>, 272.804 Niels<strong>en</strong>’<strong>er</strong> og 228.503 Hans<strong>en</strong>’<strong>er</strong>. Ud af <strong>en</strong> befolkning på omkring 5.544.000 dansk<strong>er</strong>e svar<strong>er</strong> det til, at d<strong>er</strong> samlet <strong>er</strong> 14 proc<strong>en</strong>t, d<strong>er</strong> bær<strong>er</strong> de tre mest almindelige navne i Danmark. Går man så på jagt i psykolog<strong>er</strong>nes medlemsdatabase, find<strong>er</strong> man, at d<strong>er</strong> ud af 8.666 aktive medlemm<strong>er</strong> optræd<strong>er</strong> 260 J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>’<strong>er</strong>, 269 Niels<strong>en</strong>’<strong>er</strong> og 232 Hans<strong>en</strong>’<strong>er</strong>, svar<strong>en</strong>de til i alt 9 proc<strong>en</strong>t. Så m<strong>en</strong>s hv<strong>er</strong> syv<strong>en</strong>de dansk<strong>er</strong> hedd<strong>er</strong> J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>, Niels<strong>en</strong>, Hans<strong>en</strong>, <strong>er</strong> det altså kun hv<strong>er</strong> ellevte psykolog. - Jeg <strong>er</strong> ikke statistik<strong>er</strong>, m<strong>en</strong> jeg vil m<strong>en</strong>e, at 9 proc<strong>en</strong>t ov<strong>er</strong> for 14 proc<strong>en</strong>t <strong>er</strong> <strong>en</strong> signifikant forskel, om <strong>en</strong>d ikke jordskælvsstor, så noget <strong>er</strong> d<strong>er</strong> om snakk<strong>en</strong>, sig<strong>er</strong> lektor Michael L<strong>er</strong>che Niels<strong>en</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> forsk<strong>er</strong> i p<strong>er</strong>sonnavne på Institut for Navneforskning på Køb<strong>en</strong>havns Univ<strong>er</strong>sitet. <strong>Og</strong> <strong>hvad</strong> så, kunne man spørge? Er det måske fin<strong>er</strong>e at hedde fx Vinum <strong>en</strong>d J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>? Ja, det <strong>er</strong> d<strong>er</strong> faktisk noget, d<strong>er</strong> tyd<strong>er</strong> på. - D<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> klart tale om, at nogle navne anses for fin<strong>er</strong>e <strong>en</strong>d andre. De mest almindelige s<strong>en</strong>-navne <strong>er</strong> antalsmæssigt i frit fald i disse år. Desud<strong>en</strong> ses d<strong>er</strong> skævt til meget fremmedartede navne, m<strong>en</strong> ell<strong>er</strong>s <strong>er</strong> alt andet <strong>en</strong>d s<strong>en</strong>-navne tilsynelad<strong>en</strong>de at foretrække, selv almindelige navne som Skovgaard og Øst<strong>er</strong>gaard, sig<strong>er</strong> Michael L<strong>er</strong>che Niels<strong>en</strong>. Han fortæll<strong>er</strong>, at de mest almindelige s<strong>en</strong>-navne omkring år 1900 udgjorde ov<strong>er</strong> 90 proc<strong>en</strong>t af befolkning<strong>en</strong>, m<strong>en</strong>s de 1999 blev opgjort til kun at udgøre 56 proc<strong>en</strong>t. <strong>Og</strong> t<strong>en</strong>d<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong> fortsætt<strong>er</strong> med et fald på 2-3 proc<strong>en</strong>t om året. › NAVNESTATISTIK - Selv om man kan være bekymret for J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong>s fremtid, tror jeg ikke på, at navnet vil uddø. I stedet kan man ov<strong>er</strong>veje, om ikke navnet på et tidspunkt går h<strong>en</strong> og bliv<strong>er</strong> ”in” <strong>–</strong> fordi det så <strong>er</strong> blevet m<strong>er</strong>e sjæld<strong>en</strong>t, og fordi vi alligevel <strong>er</strong> meget bevidste om vores kulturarv, lyd<strong>er</strong> Michael L<strong>er</strong>che Niels<strong>en</strong>s bud. Psykolog som eft<strong>er</strong>navn <strong>På</strong> www.navn.ku.dk, som <strong>er</strong> Navneforskningsinstituttets hjemmeside, <strong>er</strong> d<strong>er</strong> både und<strong>er</strong>holdning og læring for de m<strong>er</strong>e ell<strong>er</strong> mindre nørdede. De stivnede patronym<strong>er</strong> <strong>–</strong> det <strong>er</strong> de s<strong>en</strong>-navne, d<strong>er</strong> bare går i arv, altså ud<strong>en</strong> at man <strong>er</strong> fx J<strong>en</strong>s’ søn. De <strong>er</strong> som sagt på klart tilbagetog, m<strong>en</strong>s de primære patronym<strong>er</strong> kun bruges på Island og Færø<strong>er</strong>ne, hvor man stadig opkald<strong>er</strong> eft<strong>er</strong> fad<strong>er</strong><strong>en</strong>s fornavn (-son og -dóttir). Så <strong>er</strong> d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong>hv<strong>er</strong>vsbetegnels<strong>er</strong>ne, d<strong>er</strong> går helt tilbage til middelald<strong>er</strong><strong>en</strong>. - Visse af dem, fx Fisk<strong>er</strong>, Bag<strong>er</strong>, Møll<strong>er</strong> og Præst kan stadig bruges som sådan, m<strong>en</strong> d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> fra mod<strong>er</strong>ne tid, det vil sige år 1600 og frem, ikke tradition for at bruge <strong>er</strong>hv<strong>er</strong>vsbetegnels<strong>er</strong> som eft<strong>er</strong>navn. D<strong>er</strong>for <strong>er</strong> d<strong>er</strong> ing<strong>en</strong> Pet<strong>er</strong> Lær<strong>er</strong>, Hans Brandmand, Lars Kranfør<strong>er</strong>, Michael Chauffør osv., sig<strong>er</strong> Michael L<strong>er</strong>che Niels<strong>en</strong>. <strong>Og</strong> altså i hv<strong>er</strong>t fald hell<strong>er</strong> ing<strong>en</strong> Sør<strong>en</strong> Psykolog, kan man lægge til. Navne har i det hele taget, ifølge samme hjemmeside, været i brug så længe vi kan se tilbage. Som d<strong>er</strong> står: ”Vi giv<strong>er</strong> navne for at kunne skelne os fra hinand<strong>en</strong>, m<strong>en</strong> også for at mark<strong>er</strong>e, at vi hør<strong>er</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>. Det ses tydeligst i skikk<strong>en</strong> med at give et fornavn og et eft<strong>er</strong>navn. Fornavnet mark<strong>er</strong><strong>er</strong>, at d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> tale om et individ, og eft<strong>er</strong>navnet mark<strong>er</strong><strong>er</strong>, at det samme individ <strong>er</strong> <strong>en</strong> del af <strong>en</strong> familie.” Famili<strong>en</strong> J<strong>en</strong>s<strong>en</strong> har så i <strong>en</strong> p<strong>er</strong>iode været rigtig stor. Man kan også læse, at navngivning ikke kun find<strong>er</strong> sted af praktiske grunde, ”for så ville det være meget nemm<strong>er</strong>e blot at bruge <strong>en</strong>tydige talkod<strong>er</strong>. Brug<strong>en</strong> af p<strong>er</strong>sonnavne har også <strong>en</strong> følelsesmæssig dim<strong>en</strong>sion, de <strong>er</strong> forbundet med følels<strong>er</strong> og association<strong>er</strong>, og det <strong>er</strong> ikke lige meget, hvordan de lyd<strong>er</strong>, ell<strong>er</strong> <strong>hvad</strong> de betyd<strong>er</strong>”. Spørgsmålet <strong>er</strong>, om navn<strong>en</strong>es betydning for m<strong>en</strong>nesk<strong>en</strong>e kunne være et g<strong>en</strong>standsfelt for psykolog<strong>er</strong>nes forskning? M<strong>en</strong> hvorfor ikke droppe alle de følels<strong>er</strong> og bare give barnet et tal, så kunne det være et decimaltal, hvis d<strong>er</strong> blev født fl<strong>er</strong>e i samme sekund? Hvis vi begynd<strong>er</strong> fra nu, <strong>er</strong> vi i skriv<strong>en</strong>de stund 5.433.122 p<strong>er</strong>son<strong>er</strong> i Danmark. D<strong>en</strong> næste, d<strong>er</strong> bliv<strong>er</strong> født, kan vi så kalde numm<strong>er</strong> 5.433.123. Hvis d<strong>er</strong> bliv<strong>er</strong> født to samtidig sekundet eft<strong>er</strong>, så kan man jo sætte decimal<strong>er</strong> på: 5.433.124,1 og 5.433.124,2. Det <strong>er</strong> ikke kært navn, m<strong>en</strong> det <strong>er</strong> unikt. Hvis navngivning<strong>en</strong> fung<strong>er</strong>ede på d<strong>en</strong>ne måde, så ville det fineste nok være at have et tal ud<strong>en</strong> decimal<strong>er</strong>.
