In The Beginning There Were Two Interested
Persons
MARTE MEO in Latvia began when we – Ilona Busa
and Gatis Buss – met Maria Aarts in Osnabrück
(Germany) in October 2002. We both worked as
family therapists in our private practice and in the
pedagogic university. Back then we sensed that
MARTE MEO in Latvia could be a great help in order
to cope with our problems from the Soviet time.
Maria Aarts suggested that we should come to
her to Harderwijk, The Netherlands (where she
then lived), to learn MARTE MEO there.
