Air traffic control instruction
Directives issued by air traffic control for the purpose
of requiring a pilot to take a specific action.

Air traffic control message
A message the contents of which is necessary for
safety and regularity of air traffic and for the execution
of air traffic control.
Air traffic controller / air traffic control officer
A person which is entitled to conduct air traffic
control.

Air traffic control service
A service that has to provide the surveillance and
guidance of movements in the airspace and on the
manoeuvring areas of aerodromes with aerodrome
control service to assure a safe, orderly and fluent
flow of air traffic.
In particular it shall prevent collisions between:
a) aircraft in the air and on the manoeuvring
areas of aerodromes,
b) aircraft and other vehicles as well as
obstacles on the manoeuvring areas of aerodromes.
Air traffic control unit
A generic term meaning variously, area control centre,
approach control office or aerodrome control
tower.

Flugverkehrskontrollanweisung
Von der Flugverkehrskontrolle erteilte Anordnungen,
durch die ein Luftfahrzeugführer aufgefordert wird,
eine bestimmte Maßnahme zu ergreifen.
Flugverkehrskontrollmeldung
Eine Meldung, deren Inhalt für die Sicherheit und
Regelmäßigkeit des Luftverkehrs und für die Durchführung
der Flugverkehrskontrolle erforderlich ist.

Flugverkehrslotse / Flugverkehrskontrolloffizier
Eine Person, die berechtigt ist, Flugverkehrskontrolle
durchzuführen.
Flugverkehrskontrolle
Ein Dienst, der die Überwachung und Lenkung der
Bewegungen im Luftraum und auf den Rollfeldern
von Flugplätzen mit Flugplatzkontrolle zur sicheren,
geordneten und flüssigen Abwicklung des Luftverkehrs
zu gewährleisten hat.
Insbesondere soll sie Zusammenstöße verhindern
zwischen:
a) Luftfahrzeugen in der Luft und auf den Rollfeldern
der Flugplätze;
b) Luftfahrzeugen und anderen Fahrzeugen sowie
Hindernissen auf den Rollfeldern der Flugplätze.

Flugverkehrskontrollstelle
Ein allgemeiner Begriff, der wechselweise Bezirkskontrolle,
Anflugkontrolle oder Flugplatzkontrolle bedeutet.
