Die 9. <strong>KIT</strong>-Kinder-Uni steht bevor: Kindern im Alter zwischen acht und<br />
zwölf Jahren will sie die Faszination der Wissenschaft näherbringen.<br />
Die Vorlesungen und Workshops finden vom 5. bis 26. August statt.<br />
Eine Vorlesung dauert 45 Minuten. Zu Beginn der Kinder-Uni stellt das<br />
<strong>KIT</strong> auf einer Messe die Veranstaltungen mit Postern und Experimenten<br />
vor. Schwerpunkte sind zum Beispiel Sportpsychologie und Mobilität.<br />
Daneben erleben die Kinder, wie sich Beobachtungen aus der Natur für<br />
technische Erfindungen nutzen lassen. Zum Abschluss der Vorlesungsreihe<br />
findet eine Diplomfeier mit Experimentalvorlesung statt, bei der<br />
die Kinder ein Diplom erhalten und ihre Doktorhüte basteln. Bei der <strong>KIT</strong>-<br />
Kinder-Uni 2010 besuchten 3000 Mädchen und Jungen die Vorlesungen<br />
und Workshops. Die Dienstleistungseinheit Presse, Kommunikation<br />
und Marketing (<strong>PKM</strong>) organisiert die <strong>KIT</strong>-Kinder-Uni.<br />
The 9th <strong>KIT</strong> Children’s University is near: It will convey to children<br />
aged from 8 to 12 the fascination of science. The presentations and<br />
workshops will take place from August 5 to 26. Each presentation<br />
will take 45 minutes. At the start of the Children’s University, <strong>KIT</strong> will<br />
present an exhibition of posters and experiments. This year’s Children’s<br />
University will focus on sports psychology and mobility. In addition,<br />
the children will learn how observations of nature can be used for<br />
technical inventions. The series of presentations will culminate in a<br />
diploma celebration with an experimental presentation, during which<br />
the children will be granted a diploma and make their own doctoral<br />
cap. Around 3000 girls and boys attended the presentations and<br />
workshops of the 2010 <strong>KIT</strong> Children’s University. It is organized by the<br />
Public Relations and Marketing Service Unit (<strong>PKM</strong>).<br />
