Faciliter la découverte de Saint-Gilles en guidant les
visiteurs vers les lieux les plus populaires.
Système dont le but est d’amener les gens, du centreville
vers le quartier Saint-Gilles. Dans un premier temps,
les clients des magasins et restaurants de Saint-Gilles
cotent les établissements où ils se rendent par le biais
d’un QR-code sur leur souche ou addition. Ensuite, un
système de lumières led bleues, intégrées aux trottoirs
de Saint-Gilles, mène les passants vers les endroits les
mieux cotés.
Facilitating a discovery of Saint-Gilles by guiding visitors to
its most locally popular spots.
System that aims to bring people from the city centre
into Saint-Gilles. First, clients of shops and restaurants
within Saint-Gilles are given the possibility to rate the
different places they go to by scanning the QR-code
on their receipts. Then, a system of blue led lights
integrated in the footpaths of Saint-Gilles lead passersby
towards the places that receive the highest ratings.

Générer une atmosphère plus accueillante à Saint-Gilles
en repensant ses infrastructures publiques.
Proposition d’un nouvel aménagement urbain qui
rende la rue Saint-Gilles plus attractive. Un passage pour
piétons extra-large serait réalisé à son entrée afin de
créer une transition avec le centre-ville, l’éclairage public
serait repensé et des bancs publics seraient ajoutés çà
et là afin de faciliter les rencontres spontanées.
Generating a more inviting atmosphere within Saint-Gilles
by rethinking its public infrastructure.
Urban furniture proposal to make the central Saint-
Gilles Street a more appealing place to be. An extralarge
pedestrian crossing at the beginning of Saint-
Gilles Street would bridge the border between the city
centre and Saint-Gilles neighbourhood, with public
lighting reconsidered and public benches added here
and there to facilitate spontaneous encounters.
