Belgian Design On Tour - Reciprocity

ABV (Eric Dor) : spécialiste de l’organisation
d’espaces professionnels acoustiques, designs,
durables et parfaitement en phase avec les nouveaux
modes de travail (co-working,…), cette entreprise
liégeoise dessine, prototype et produit ses propres
solutions et les commercialise au travers d’un réseau
international de distributeurs.
Ateliers Georis (Roger Georis) : le pliage de tôle,
une activité aux débouchés purement industriels?
Les ateliers Georis nous prouvent le contraire grâce
à une collaboration avec le designer Xavier Lust.
Darcis Maître Chocolatier (Jean-Philippe Darcis) :
pour le maître chocolatier verviétois, le chocolat
c’est bien évidemment le goût mais aussi un univers
à faire partager dès le premier coup d’oeil. Ne
mange-t-on pas avec les yeux avant de faire frétiller
ses papilles?
iol Strategic Design (François Royen) : le designer
n’est pas toujours un être isolé. Iol est une agence
qui travaille la main dans la main avec les entreprises
pour le développement de nouveaux produits.
Le design s’invite dans des domaines souvent très
techniques, et rime avec esthétique, mais aussi avec
ergonomie et de fonctionnalité.
Precical (Alain Troupin) : fruits d’un savoir-faire
high-tech, leurs moules donnent vie à une foule
d’objets en plastique, dont certains très connus, à
l’image des célèbres terminaux Bancontact.
Luc Vincent : designer bruxellois, il fut collaborateur
de l’architecte espagnol Ricardo Bofill, ainsi que de
Jean Nouvel en France. Mais il n’en a pas pour autant
oublié la Belgique, et la Wallonie en particulier. Des
luminaires Hind Rabii au renouveau des meubles
Cubex, c’est bien sur notre territoire que ses
nouveaux projets trouvent leurs racines.
ABV (Eric Dor): a company specializing in office
furniture, with products such as sustainable and
acoustic screens perfectly in tune with new working
trends like co-working. From the Liege region, the
company designs, prototypes and manufactures
its own solutions and sells them through an
international network of agents.
Ateliers Georis (Roger Georis): is sheet metal
bending only aimed at industrial markets? The
Ateliers Georis proves to the contrary through its
cooperation with Belgian designer Xavier Lust.
Darcis Maître Chocolatier (Jean-Philippe Darcis):
for this Master chocolatier from Verviers, chocolate
is obviously about the taste but also a world that we
first discover visually – after all, don’t we eat with
the eyes before tickling the taste buds?
iol Strategic Design (François Royen): a designer
is not always an isolated individual. iol is an agency
that works hand-in-hand with companies to develop
new products and highlights the very technical fields
that design operates in, combining a harmonic,
ergonomic and functional approach.
Precical (Alain Troupin): specialists in the conception
and realization of high precision injection moulds,
the fruits and application of this high-tech knowhow
can be seen in various industrial environments
and systems, such as the well-known Bancontact
electronic payment terminals.
Luc Vincent: coming from Brussels, this designer
was an collaborator of Spanish architect Ricardo
Bofill, as well as Jean Nouvel in France. Yet, he
hasn’t forgotten Belgium and in particular Wallonia.
From the Hind Rabii lights and lamps to the revival
of the Cubex furniture, the roots of his new projects
go deep into the territory.
